Programs
A new or experienced referee can go one of two routes based on their age.

  1. Referees 14 years old and older on March 31st of a given outdoor season are eligible to
complete the Entry Level Course through Ontario Soccer. This allows you to referee and
assistant referee in matches U12 and older including Senior and Tier 2 leagues.
Preparation usually begins around March/April for an outdoor season in order to get
    (re)certified.
  2. Referees under 14 years old on March 31st or individuals choosing not to participate in
the Entry Level Course will undergo education provided by the GSL to get you
comfortable refereeing U8 and U10 Micro games. Preparation usually begins late
April or early May for the outdoor season.
